Mouser – High Isolation voltage optocouplers available in surface-mount packages (Vishay Semiconductors CNY6XST)
Feb 14 2012 - Switches, Relays & Onboard [More Switches, Relays & Onboard Articles]Vishay Semiconductors’ CNY6XST Series high isolation voltage optocouplers are now available from Mouser. They are the industry’s first category IV high voltage isolation optocouplers available in a surface mount package.
The devices consist of a phototransistor optically coupled to a gallium arsenide infrared-emitting diode in a 4-pin plastic package. The single components are mounted opposite one another, providing a distance between input and output for highest safety requirements of >3mm. Typical applications include solar equipment, smart meters and smart grids, says the company.
