The SBC-8000 Frequency Synthesizer, from EM Research, operates from 5000 to 8000MHz, features tuning steps of 1Hz, and exceptionally-low phase noise (-95dBc/Hz at 10kHz). The unit is locked to a 10MHz external reference and offers +7dBm output power, -15dBc harmonics and -60dBc spurs.

Options include external or internal references (10-500MHz) and extended temperature ranges. The SBC Series is available in custom multi-octave frequency bands to 8GHz. The SBC-8000 is ideal as a lab source for prototype and bench-top testing, says the company.
