The UPN-7400, from EM Research, is a new surface-mount frequency synthesizer featuring exceptionally-low phase noise (-102dBc/Hz at 10KHz), utilizing a 100MHz external frequency reference, offering +6dBm output power from a +5VDC supply drawing 200mA current.

The unit is available in a cost-effective, miniature surface-mount package measuring 22.9mm x 22.9mm x 3.8mm, which makes it ideal for SATCOM, Radar and military applications.

The UPN Series can be custom-designed to offer fixed or serially-programmable frequencies up to 10GHz with extended temperature ranges, high vibration tolerance, up to +13dBm output power and internal or external references, says the company.
