LVDS and LVPECL oscillators are among the world’s smallest

IQD has introduced its latest LVDS/LVPECL oscillators, IQXO-406 and IQXO-439, in a small 2mm x 1.6mm package. Offered in a frequency range from 50MHz to 250MHz, the new oscillators give miniaturisation and higher clock frequencies for end applications. Common applications include 5G, Ethernet (10G/100G/1000G), Fibre Channel, IoT, SONET/SDH and wearables.

The demand for smaller, more powerful and reliable electronic components is increasing, driving manufacturers of frequency products to produce even smaller products with higher frequencies. This aims at accomplishing the design goals while enabling miniaturisation of the circuit. These new devices are ideal choices.

The devices' outputs offer a differential signal with decreased phase noise at higher frequencies than CMOS logic signals.

The new oscillators are offered either as 2.5V or 3.3V versions and with a phase jitter of fewer than 0.5ps RMS (over 12kHz to 20MHz), regardless of which output is specified. Components in a 2.5mm x 2mm package are also available.
