Mouser now stocks the Sensiron LD20-2600B liquid flow sensor. The device is a highly accurate, single-use, streamlined sensor for high-volume medical, life-science or food industry applications.

The device is a high-performance liquid flow sensor providing full-scale accuracy within 5% (H2O), with 0.5% repeatability (H2O), using a 6000μA maximum supply current and a straight, unobstructed flow channel with no moving parts. It features CMOSens technology combining the sensor element, signal processing and digital calibration on a small CMOS chip. The sensor supplies a bidirectional measurement of flow rates from 1000ml/h down to single-digit ml/h while also detecting common failure modes, such as occlusion, free flow or air bubbles, with unprecedented speed and sensitivity. The single-use sensor measures the liquid flow rate directly and at the point of interest for more effective patient treatment and improved safety. The sensor supplies data on a digital I²C interface via metal contact pads.

The sensor can measure drug delivery precisely and in real-time. As a result, therapies become more effective and easier to monitor and control. The sensor allows medical device manufacturers to enhance their products' safety, performance, and reliability for the benefit of patients and caregivers.

The sensor features extremely low power consumption, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. It is made from medical-grade, chemically resistant wetted material and delivers high reliability and long-term stability.

The LD20 Base Station, also available, is employed to evaluate and test the LD20-2600B liquid flow sensor. The connector block mechanically holds the sensor in place through a clip-in mechanism and supplies an electrical interface between the sensor's contact pads and a PC. The Base Station features mounting holes allowing the user to anchor it to a workbench and features basic ESD protection.
