Cliff Electronics has introduced a Gold Plated 75Ohm BNC Connecter providing a 12GHz bandwidth ideal for 4K format video and other high-frequency signals. The new BNC to BNC FeedThrough connector is installed in a recessed socket plate fitting the industry standard 24mm XLR panel cut-out adding this BNC connector to the company's FeedThrough connector range. The Cliff FT series of true feed-through data connectors for video, audio, electrical and electronic instrumentation are ideal for developing custom I/O configurations for wall plates, rack panels, enclosures, etc. All fit in a standard XLR panel cut-out and utilise standard cabling for front and back connections with no soldering or screw terminal connections needed. FT connectors that have countersunk mounting holes may be constructed from the front or back of a panel whilst a low rear profile supports the tightest behind-the-panel spaces. Key specifications comprise 12GHz, 75Ohm impedance, frequency range 0-18GHz, dielectric withstand voltage 1500Veff, insulation Resistance 5000MOhm, operating temperature range -35C to +70C, contact retention 10N min, mating cycles 500 cycles. John Hall, managing director of Cliff Electronics, comments; “Our new gold plated BNC connector offers our customers a 4K video standard connector future-proofing broadcast systems and patch panels and offers industrial users a high-reliability, low contact resistance connector for sensors, instrumentation and test and measurement. We can also supply our new gold BNC connectors pre-assembled into rack panels offering systems integrators fast and convenient system assembly.”
