Silicon Labs Si5397/96 Jitter Attenuators are high-performance jitter-attenuating clock multipliers that integrate multiple any-frequency Digital Signal DSPLLs. These devices are available now from Mouser. The DSPLL generates any-output frequency from any-input frequency. The jitter attenuators are eight-output clock multipliers which combine four any-frequency DSPLLs. The jitter attenuators are four-output with dual DSPLL version in a smaller package. The jitter attenuators are based on 4th generation DSPLL technology and give any-frequency conversion with typical jitter performance of 95fs. The DSPLL supports hitless and automatic input clock switching, independent free-run, and holdover modes of operation.
The jitter attenuators are programmable through a serial interface with in-circuit programmable NVM. These attenuators are easy to program with the company's ClockBuilder Pro software. The attenuators find their applications in OTN muxponders and transponders, synchronous Ethernet, and broadcast video.
