DuraClik connectors from Molex facilitate and maintain secure electrical contact and mating retention in harsh environments. For a signal current of 3A, the product is designed to provide space savings and excellent performance for high-vibration and high-temperature applications in the automotive and lighting industry. The connectors are a 2mm pitch, unsealed, a wire-to-board connection system for right-angled and vertical PCB mounting options. Standard features include broad solder tabs that can withstand an upward pull force of 100N and terminal retention retainers that help position terminals and can provide up to 50N of retention force. Also, the connector has an enclosed contact design to protect against debris and dust, and to avoid tangling during harness assembly. The latch designs also provide an audible “click” for mating confirmation and secure mating retention. The expanded device options are a secondary locking feature with an Independent Secondary locking (ISL) and a Terminal Positioning Assurance (TPA) to meet changing market requirements. ISL and TPA versions are designed to offer superior electrical contact reliability, space savings and mating retention compared to other competitive versions. Available now in two to 15 circuits with both tin and gold plating options.
