A new generation of active harmonic filters features three-level IGBT inverter topology

Schaffner has introduced the eco sine active sync, a new generation of active harmonic filters. Drawing on the company’s wide experience and knowledge of applications, and solutions in power quality, the new modular ecosine active sync series offers best-fit technical and cost-effective solutions for the most demanding harmonic mitigation tasks. It is suitable for use with any non-linear load. Alex Kamenka, head of PQ Business Unit, Schaffner comments, "Our new ecosine active sync harmonic filters offer excellent performance in solving power quality problems, achieving <5% THID even on complex mixed loads and changing load profiles.
