TFT portfolio expanded to include 'Letterbox' footprint modules

GTK has announced the expansion of its TFT display product offering to include a series of 'Letterbox' footprint modules as part of its standard range, which are available in sizes ranging from 3.9-inch to 11-inch. "These new sizes are ideal for new markets where the traditional TFT sizes weren't really suitable," said Clive Dickinson, business manager for optoelectronics, GTK. "They are perfect for use in audio products, consumer electronics, 19-inch enclosure and rack-mount products that require a display that is generally shorter in height but with the ranges of sizes we offer it is easy to display large amounts of information. We are already working on a number of OEM projects where these new modules are being designed in and it's great to able to offer these special sizes as standard." The new size modules are compliant with all relevant industry requirements and offer high performance in terms of brightness, viewing angles and operating temperature range. GTK can also offer design support, custom enhancements and associated connector products to customers where required, says the company.
