A new colour sensor board 'Colorimeter 2' which delivers the company's
MTCS-ICs in a board level product has been introduced by MAZeT. Colorimeter
2 is designed as a new hardware solution for the measurement of active light
sources such as LED mixed colour control. The boards are aimed at OEM
customer solutions for colour measurement and control.
The MTCS-C2 'Colorimeter 2' is a True Colour Sensor Board, which in addition
to the colour sensor IC also integrates the complete signal amplification
and processing, including the interface and measurement control. Adaptation
is possible during a design-in project.
The board's optical channel is provided with a mechanical aperture to comply
with measuring geometry requirements. Calibration of the board as a
measuring system is performed at the factory, the sensor can be used
immediately for measuring functions after connection to a PC and
installation of the software. The user can set up their own light source or
as an alternative use the company's modEVA.
The MTCS-C2 board integrates the following: True Colour Sensor MTCSiCS,
transimpedance amplifier MTI04CQ, microcontroller with 10-bit A/D-CONVERTER
and USB-interface as well as an EEPROM. The supply voltage for the board is
provided via the USB interface.
Included with the MTCS-C2 delivery are the following items: MTCS-C2,
documentation, optional USB cable, optional PC software (for sensor
calibration, measured value representation and output, e.g. in the CIELAB
colour space), optional macro function library (API Application Programming
Interface with test software) as well as an optional 2 degree optic
aperture, says the company.
