Now available from RS Components - the JAE FI-E Series connector is optimised for digital TV internal wiring. The connector series is specifically designed with the electrical and mechanical features necessary to best support transmission of low voltage differential signal (LVDS) within digital devices.

As consumer products increasingly incorporate digital technology, the FI-E Series meets the internal signal needs for products such as LCD, PDP, and rear projection TVs, as well as other equipment utilizing LVDS.

A robust connector, the FI-E series has a 20 mating cycle durability and incorporates a blind mating guide and locking mechanism. The receptacle has multiple soldering points to ensure it stays secured to the board. The connector has a low-profile 3.2mm height, a fine 1mm pitch, and is lead free to meet the meet the space and environmental requirements of system designers.

The FI-E Series is available in 14 and 30 positions, crimp and solder termination for the harness, and works with twisted pair and fine coax cable. It is rated to 1A and 200V per terminal, and operates in the temperature range -40C to +80C. Additional features include contact resistance of 40mohm or less, insulation resistance of at least 100Mohm, and dielectric withstanding voltage of 500VAC rms. for one minute, says the company.
