MSC - Full output power up to +85C from 3W DC-DC SIP7-packaged converters

Due to reduced losses and thermally optimized internal design the new YDS 12D-3W series DC-DC CONVERTERs, now available from MSC Vertriebs, provide an output power of 3W in the popular space-saving SIP7 package.

Available for input voltages of 5V and 12V they generate an electrically isolated output voltage of 5V, 9V, 12V or 15V. Other in- and output voltages are available according to customer specifications. Input to output isolation is 3000VDC.

Additional specifications include an EFFICIENCY up to 87%, low ripple and noise, one second short-circuit protection, an MTBF rating of 3.5 million hours and a full power operating temperature range of -40C to +85C.

The 12D-3W series converters are seen as ideal for local generation of sensor excitation voltage, supply voltage for analog front ends in digital systems and interface circuits.

With standard pin-out the 12D-3W series can replace lower power SIP7 DC-DC converters in system upgrades without circuit board redesign, says the company.
