RS - Complete handheld GPS tracker unit needs just a PC for set-up

The Shadow Tracker System is now available from RS Components. The system is supplied with GPS tracker, USB GSM modem base station, Google Maps based software and 2 PAYG SIM cards, mains charger, USB lead and other cables. For set-up all that is required is a PC.

The Shadow Tracker System uses the latest GPS technology to enable users to keep track of anything from vehicles, staff, loved ones or valuables. Simply load the Shadow Tracker software onto a PC and set it to log the movement of the tracker or use the 'FIND USER' to get a real-time update of many Tracker locations.

The tracker unit may also be used as a normal GSM Mobile phone. In addition to receiving calls, there are four buttons on the tracker which will dial preset telephone numbers. The handheld units are available separately and the software can track up to 50 units.  Application areas are numerous and include lone work alarm, fleet tracking, personal tracking, emergency alarm and tracking of valuables, says the company.
