Availability of Toshiba's new TLxK series red and amber LEDs, has been
announced by Marktech Optoelectronics, expanding its broad line-up of
high-performance LEDs.
The TLxK series offers one of the industry's best values when it comes to
long life and low cost. The family of products has the colour, brightness
and radiation patterns that are well suited to traffic and sign
applications. These include, but are not limited to, traffic management
systems, traffic signals, pedestrian signals, variable message signs, indoor
message signs and outdoor advertising applications.
With luminous intensities of up to 12,900mcd (red) and 23,000mcd (amber),
the TLxK series LEDs from Toshiba provides an output that is significantly
brighter than products currently available on the market today. This will
allow designers the luxury of economically reducing power consumption while
maintaining a high level of brightness seldom seen at this power level. TLxK
red and amber LEDs are available in a 5mm round package with viewing angles
of 23 and 30 degrees, says the company.
