Providing design engineers with a complete range of military-qualified,
DSCC-approved components, TT electronics / IRC has extended the qualified
resistance range of its thick-film MIL-PRF-55342 R level resistors. The TMC
Series resistors are now qualified from 1ohm to 10Mohm for the 1206 style;
and 1ohm to 15Mohm for the 2010 and 2512 package sizes.
“Extending the resistance range not only allows us to conform to all DSCC
qualifications, but we are now better able to meet all of our customers’
application-specific requirements,” said Gary Bleasdell, director of IRC’s
thick-film business unit. “Due to the extended resistance range and proven
reliability of the resistors, the TMC Series devices are being specified for
use in a number of high reliability applications, including military and
aerospace systems, weapon systems, and aircraft and communication
equipment.”
The TMC Series thick-film military chip resistors are available in 1206
Mil/7, 2010 Mil/8, and 2512 Mil/9 package sizes. Power rating for the
resistors is 250mW for the 1206 chip, 800mW for the 2010 resistor and 1000mW
for the 2512 package size, with voltage ratings of 100V, 150V and 200V,
respectively. Operating temperature ranges from -55C to +150C. The TMC
Series thick-film chip resistors are qualified to K and M characteristics.
In addition to the mil-qualified thick film resistors, IRC also offers a
comprehensive line of thin-film resistors military-qualified to S level
specifications, says the company.
