TTI - New capacitors designed for tough electrical environments

New WIMA DC-LINK MKP 4 capacitors have been introduced by TTI.. They are available with capacitances from 5uF up to 75uF and in voltages of 450, 700, 900 and 1100VDC.

Designed for use in DC Link applications in power electronics, the capacitors couple 'outstanding' high-voltage ratings with low ESR and very high insulation resistance. The unpolarised contact configurations, e.g. in 4-lead version or with screw-on terminal lugs, 'guarantee' safe operation even at high current loads.

Constructed with a wound metallised polypropylene film element boxed in a plastic case with self-extinguishing epoxy resin sealing, they are entirely self-healing in cases of breakdown, and therefore have a high life expectancy, says the company.
