Compact connector solution for high-speed data transmission

With its 'EasyLine' series, Provertha has created an X-coded M12 connector solution that can be built and is one of the most compact available. The small number of individual parts provides that the eight-pin plug-in connections can be assembled quickly and simply within very short assembly times. As the cable connectors enable individual cabling in the field, users can respond flexibly to specific installation situations, particularly in applications where the cable length is challenging or impossible to specify in advance. This saves them costly special solutions and lengthy delivery times. These cable connectors guarantee high transmission performance (10Gbit/s with up to 500MHz) according to the TIA-568 and ISO/IEC-11801-Cat-6A specifications.

The cable connectors enable easy connection of four differential wire pairs employing secure crimp contacts. New contact holders with white printing make assigning, cutting, and snapping in the wire pairs simple. The mounting orientation of the contact holder to the insulating body is marked by an arrow printed on it. Users can assemble individual and compact cabling solutions when space is limited, or a certain cable length outside the standard is needed. Alternatively, they would need to employ overmoulded cables in the length they require, which often leads to costly special solutions with extended delivery times.

The connectors are suited for high-speed networks in industrial automation and switches and vision control systems that need data rates of up to 10Gbit/s. High necessities for shock, vibration and flammability in demanding applications, such as railway technology, are met. The locking screw features an integrated anti-vibration device that withstands the challenges of harsh industrial and railway operations.

The first development step offers a straight version in a 180-degree pin design with a cable crimp flange. This is ideal for M12 patch cables in applications needing customised lengths in tight cable feedthroughs. A version for rear wall mounting can be offered on request to implement transfer interfaces on a control cabinet wall or a robotics interface.
