Installation testers help prevent damage to connected appliances

The new Fluke 1660 Series Multifunction Installation Testers, now available from Farnell element14, are claimed to be the only installation testers that help prevent damage to connected appliances, while allowing users to wirelessly e-mail results from the field. Auto test carries out all required installation tests in a single sequence, ensuring compliance with local installation regulations, reducing the number of manual connections, decreasing the likelihood of errors and reducing test time by up to 40% from previous Fluke models. The tester has an ‘Insulation PreTest,’ feature. If the tester detects that appliances are connected to the system during test, it will stop the insulation test and provide a visual and audible warning, helping to prevent potentially serious and costly mistakes. The system helps users to save time and eliminate data entry by wirelessly syncing measurements directly from your installation tester and sharing it with your team. Simultaneous access to your measurements from the inspection site and your office or any other off-site location allows for real-time collaboration and faster, more informed decision making. Fluke Cloud storage allows for the retrieval of stored results from the office or the field, using Fluke Connect radio-enabled test tools and a mobile app to transfer measurements to a secure cloud location, where it can be accessed by multiple team members. You can also import data into Fluke DMS to process and generate certificates.
