As Enzo Ferrari once said, "racing cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win." Whether or not you disagree with that is a matter of personal reflection but winning is obviously the ambition of the Mouser Electronics-sponsored Rebellion Racing team as it now prepares to tackle the challenging course at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.

Mouser is teaming with its manufacturer partner LEMO, a specialist in the design and production of custom connection solutions, to sponsor the Rebellion team during the 2016 season.

The team kicked-off the 2016 FIA WEC racing season in April finishing third and fourth at Britain’s Six Hours of Silverstone, and taking the top two positions in the LMP1 Privateer class. Rebellion’s number 13 car, driven by the team of Matheo Tuscher, Dominik Kraihamer and Alexandre Imperatori, came third, closely followed by sister car, number 12, driven by Nicolas Prost, Nick Heidfeld and Nelson Piquet Jr.

The Rebellion Racing team won four of the six races in which it competed in 2015 with its two Rebellion R-One AER cars, including a 1-2 finish at the demanding 24 Hours of Le Mans.

With cars powered by Advanced Engine Research (AER) P60 V6 GDI twin-turbocharged engines, the Rebellion team earned the distinction of being the top two non-factory cars in their LMP1 class in 2015.

The race at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium will be followed by races at Le Mans, France (June 18 – 19); Nürburgring, Germany (July 24); Mexico City (September 3); Austin, Texas (September 17); Fuji, Japan (October 16); Shanghai, China (November 6); and Sakhir, Bahrain (November 19).

Mouser Electronics Mouser distributes LEMO’s products, including a range of push-pull circular connectors and module connector solutions. The products are suitable for harsh environments, medical equipment, test and measurement instrumentation and telecommunications apps.
