Power conversion modules offer ultra-wide input ranges

Featuring an ultra-wide range input accepting both AC and DC, the Mornsun 5W LD05-23Bxx series of PCB mounting AC/DC switching power supplies is now available from PowerPax. The series has an input range of 85-305V AC (47-440Hz)/ 100 – 430VDC and features six models with outputs from 3.3V to 24VDC. The range offers a high power density in a compact package (50.8mm x 25.4mm x 15.16mm) with efficiency of up to 83% and standby power consumption of 0.3W maximum. Outputs require no minimum load and are well regulated with Line Regulation of ±0.5% and Load Regulation (10 – 100%) of ±1%. Output voltage accuracy is ±3% typical for the 3.3V model and ±2% for all other outputs. Output Ripple and Noise (20MHz bandwidth) is typically 60mV peak to peak for 3.3V & 5V outputs and typically 50mV peak to peak for all other output voltages. All outputs feature continuous (self-recovering) short-circuit protection, over-current protection (self-recovering) and over-voltage protection (shutdown). This series meets UL60950, EN60950 and IEC60950 with Input to output isolation of 4000V AC (1 minute) minimum. They offer good EMC performance and high reliability, 300K hours (MIL-HDBK-217F@25°C). The module is housed in a black flame-retardant and heat resistant plastic case that is UL94-V0 rated. The modules feature an operating temperature range of -25C to +70C. Typical applications include electricity monitoring systems, LED control systems, instrumentation and telecommunications systems.
