High-performance IP67 rated microswitches for demanding applications

Aimed at applications as diverse as door-locking systems, domestic HVAC and vending machines, Panasonic ASQ series microswitches are now available from TTI Europe. They can be used in all areas where the environment conditions place higher demands on the components used as the series complies with the requirements of IEC529 (IP67). By the use of sliding contacts the contact force does not depend on the actuating path, resulting in a stable and even contact force across the entire actuating area. It is even possible to use the entire stroke. A notable feature is the stroke of over 2.5mm on the NC side and over 2.2mm on the NO side. Even without supplemental actuator, operation from the side is possible at an angle of up to 40 degrees. Gold plating on both sides of the sliding contact assures a reliable contact making over the complete current range of 5VDC / 1mA up to 30VDC / 100mA, says the company.
