PMBus digitally-controlled Point-of-load converter rated at 35A

26-01-2016 | TDK Lambda | Power

TDK-Lambda has introduced the iJA series of 35A Point-of-load (PoL) non-isolated DC-DC converters with PMBus communication. The use of digital control enables the converters to provide an improved dynamic transient response and system stability, along with enhanced flexibility and the ability for customisation.

Capable of accepting an 8 to 14VDC input, the iJA series can deliver output voltages of 0.6 to 3.3V with currents of up to 35A. Measuring 22.9mm x 12.7mm x 9.7mm and weighing just 6.5g, the compact converters are ideal for a wide range of applications, including communications, broadcast, industrial and test and measurement equipment.

The iJA series will reliably operate across a wide -40C to +105C temperature range with minimal airflow, as internal power losses are reduced due to the high efficiency levels of up to 94%.

Read-write functionality of the PMBus allows precision, real-time monitoring of the output voltage, current and temperature. The iJA’s operating parameters can also be easily programmed using TDK-Lambda’s GUI interface. The converters can be used without the PMBus communication through the use of function pins.

Safety certification includes IEC/EN 60950-1, UL/CSA 60950-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.
