Standard-package oscillators target high-line-rate applications

Featuring industry-standard packages, Abracon's ultra low-jitter ASFLMX / ASVMX series crystal oscillators are now available from Digi-Key. The packages measure 5mm x 3.2mm x 1.4mm (ASFLMX series) and 7mm x 5mm x 1.4mm (ASVMX series). The devices are ideal for high-line-rate applications including fibre channel 10G/12 G SerDes, says the company. Optimized for ultra-low-rms jitter over 12kHz to 20MHz offsets from the carrier, these solutions are offered at standard carrier frequencies from 25MHz to 312.5MHz, with typical rms jitter between 165fs and 220fs.
