Compact chip packaged diodes for surge and ESD protection applications

Bourns 1.5SMC Series diodes are now available from Mouser. The devices are designed for surge and ESD protection applications in compact chip package DO-214AB (SMC) size format. The series offers a choice of 6.8V up to 550V Breakdown Voltages. Typical fast response times are less than 1 picosecond for unidirectional devices and less than 5.0 picoseconds for bidirectional devices from 0V to minimum breakdown voltage. Typical applications include IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (Min. Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT and IEC 61000-4-5 surge protection.
