Compact new variable-frequency drive is easy to install

Available now from Farnell element14, the Eaton DC1 is a new, compact, variable-frequency drive with simple mounting and installation requirements. These characteristics, together with its basic parameter configuration, make the drive ideal for fans, pumps, and conveyor systems, says the company. The DC1's straightforward commissioning process, compact design and user-friendly interface make it ideal for mass production applications in the field of machine building. All models come with a 7-digit display assembly and are available with an integrated EMC filter and an integrated braking transistor. Additionally, expansion modules that can be easily plugged in make it possible to expand the number of I/Os. Other features include a high overload capability of 150% for 60sec., 175% for 2sec, ambient air temperature of 50C without derating (IP20), IP20 and IP66 protection, integrated PI controller and V/F control with voltage boost.
