New 3W PCB-mount AC/DC supplies in compact packages

Minimax has released the new AAF-03 series of 3W switching AC/DC power supplies in an encapsulated PCB-mount package measuring only 1 x 1 x 0.64 inch. The AAF-03 series offers cost-effective solutions for space-critical applications in consumer appliances, instrumentation and communication equipment.

The AAF-03 series consists of six models featuring Universal AC Input (85~264VAC / 47~440Hz) and regulated single output voltages ranging from 3.3 to 24 VDC.

The modules feature: 3000VAC isolation with reinforced insulation; built-in EMI-filter to meet EN55011/55022 class B and EN 55014; EN61000-4-2,3,4,5,6,8,11 EMC immunity; no minimum load requirements; short-circuit / over-load / over-voltage protection; and low stand-by power consumption <150mW complying with European ErP Directive 2009/125/EC.

The units are qualified via CB Report and Class II safety certifications for both UL/cUL/IEC/EN 60950-1 (ITE Applications) and TUV/IEC/EN60335-1 (household electronics). All MINMAX products are Reach compliant, RoHS compliant and Conflict Mineral free, says the company.
