Oct 29 2012 - Subs & Systems [More Subs & Systems Articles]Part of a wide range of wireless modules, RS Components now offers the Panasonic Bluetooth HCI Class 1 modem modules.
For example, the PAN14555/1555 short-range class 2 module targets those implementing Bluetooth functionality into various electronic devices. The module consists of three major parts; a baseband controller, an EEPROM memory and a radio that operates in the license-free 2.45GHz ISM band. The module utilises the simple AT command set for ease of design and communication between the module and the host controller is carried out normally via UART.
