Oct 18 2012 - Semiconductors [More Semiconductors Articles]Now available fro Digi-Key, the Atmel AVR XMEGA family of microcontrollers (MCUs) offers the largest range of fully-compatible products where all have true low-power capabilities. Each device in the family is designed with Atmel picoPower technology, which scales so that large MCUs have the same low-power characteristics as smaller MCUs.
Compared to other low-power MCU families, the AVR XMEGA device has a larger memory range, lower sleep current with real time counter (RTC) running and full SRAM retention for fast wake-up and reaction time, says the company.
