Mouser – Lowest-profile rotary back-lock FPC/FFC connectors target thinner products (XF3A-1255-41A)
Sep 24 2012 - Switches, Relays & Onboard [More Switches, Relays & Onboard Articles]Now available from Mouser, Omron’s 0.3mm pitch XF3A rotary back-lock connectors are the industry’s slimmest commercially available FPC connector with a back-lock mechanism, says the company.
The XF3A FPC connector features an ultra-low profile with a pitch of 0.3mm, a height of 0.6mm, and a depth of 3.8mm (when locked). Omron developed the XF3A in response to increased demand for slimmer FPC connectors with back-lock mechanisms, which support the development of thinner devices.
Constructed with a wide moulding wall on the rear of the connector, the XF3A allows greater freedom in board design. The connectors are RoHS compliant and are suitable for a wide range of applications, including mobile devices such as phones, MP3 players, and notebook PCs.
