Sep 20 2012 - Power [More Power Articles]

powersolve now offers the TEP160WIR Series of high-performance DC-DC converter modules which provide up to 182W. Approval to EN50155 allows the new converters to be used in railway applications with an ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage range (up to 160VDC), efficiency levels to 91% and adjustable output voltages also make the converters suitable for a wide range of applications.

There are 15 models in the range with output voltages ranging from 12 to 48VDC and they can be PCB, chassis or DIN-Rail mounted (with adaptor plate) making them ideal for use in industrial environments. Connection is by screw terminals for chassis and DIN Rail versions.

Housed in a shielded metal case with an aluminium baseplate, the converters are suitable for temperatures of -40C to +75C with an optional heatsink.

Manufactured by Traco, the TEP160WIR converters meet the EMI requirements of EN 55022 Class A/B without external components, and feature input under- voltage lockout, reverse input and over temperature protection as well as thermal shutdown and remote on/off. I/O isolation is 2250VDC.
