EAO – Compact 14mm stepper motors offer precision control in miniature systems (SH2141)
Sep 18 2012 - Design Applications [More Design Applications Articles]Precision control in miniature systems demands compact, low weight stepper motors – satisfying these needs, the new Sanyo Denki SH2141 motors are now available from EAO.
The motors are just half the size and a quarter of the weight of their predecessors. Weighing in at only 28g with a 14mm frame size and a 30mm long body the motors allow precise control of small control elements and still deliver a torque of 6.5mNm.
With a single-shaft and dual-shaft version, the products are designed for the precision movement of lightweight parts such as small tools, grippers and cylinders on the tips of robotic arms, or for the movement of small objects in instrumentation and medical electronics, says the company.
