Sep 7 2012 - [More Articles]Now available from Mouser, Littelfuse SMF Series 200W low-profile TVS diodes protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events.
Offered in the SMF package, the devices have a 50% smaller footprint compared to an SMA package and deliver one of the lowest height profiles (1.1mm) in the industry. This device provides low inductance, ‘excellent’ clamping, 200W peak pulse power, a fast response time, and built-in strain relief for board flexing.
SMF devices are ideal for the protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus and other vulnerable circuits used in devices such as cellular phones, portables, business machines, power supplies and various consumer applications.
