Vishay – First high-precision wraparound chip resistor arrays rated to +215C (230C max) (PRAHT)Aug 31 2012 - New Technologies and Energy Harvesting [More New Technologies and Energy Harvesting Articles]
Vishay has introduced a new series of high-precision thin-film SMD wraparound chip resistor arrays optimized for high-temperature down-hole and aeronautics applications. The new PRAHT four-resistor networks feature an operating temperature range from -55C to +215C with a maximum storage temperature up to +230C, an industry-first for any resistor array built on thin-film technology, says the company.
The PRAHT devices are seen as ideal for oil level and pressure sensors, and temperature measurement in down-hole extraction tools and aeronautics engine and braking systems. The networks combine their high-temperature performance with load-life stability of 0.7% after 2,000 hours at rated power and +215C, as well as tight TCR of 10ppm/C, TCR tracking to 2ppm/C, and a ratio tolerance down to 0.05%.
Available with 1mm, 1.35mm, or 1.82mm pitches, the PRAHT series features resistance values from 10ohm to 2Mohm and power ratings from 10mW to 20mW per resistor. The devices offer very low noise <-35dB and voltage coefficient <0.01ppm/V. The RoHS-compliant networks are available with gold terminations for temperatures up to +230C or SnAg terminations for temperatures to +200C, says the company.More news from Vishay
