Cyntech – Board-mount 2W AC-DC power module offers world’s smallest footprint
Aug 31 2012 - New Technologies and Energy Harvesting [More New Technologies and Energy Harvesting Articles]Cyntech Components has announced its 1W and 2W AC-DC board-mounted modules have the world’s smallest footprint for a fully-certified (CE, UL/cUL 60950-1 and EN5502) power supply of this type. Measuring just 33.7mm (L) x 22.2mm (W) they are ideal for any space-restricted application that needs a stable 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15 or 24VDC supply with low noise and low ripple. They are just 18mm high, says the company.
The modules have a universal AC input (85 to 305VAC), are up to 78% efficient and consume just 100mW under no-load conditions, meeting the latest international regulations in this respect.
The power supplies are fully encapsulated, protecting them from moisture or other contamination, and are equally suited to industrial, computing, communications and consumer electronics applications. The modules, which operate in ambient temperatures from -25C to +70C, are RoHS compliant and available from stock, says the company.
