RS – ON Semiconductor agreement enhances access to silicon product portfolio (Counter Shift Register)

RS Components has signed a global franchise agreement with ON Semiconductor, a leading supplier of high performance silicon solutions for energy efficient electronics. The elevation of RS to franchised distributor status is a formal endorsement of its success in driving substantial sales growth for the ON Semiconductor range.

RS currently stocks approximately 2,500 individual devices in the ON Semiconductor portfolio and, as part of the franchise agreement, will augment its offer to deliver even greater choice to customers.

The appointment of RS as an official ON Semiconductor channel partner recognises the distributor’s pledge to provide superior customer service by supporting electronics engineers through a host of online design resources available via the DesignSpark community on the RS website. At the heart of this commitment lies the company’s sophisticated eCommerce strategy, which propels the development of online initiatives to ease the find, design and buy process for customers, and provides a strong link in the supply chain, says the company.
