Mouser – Seven-channel driver supports low voltage relay and inductive coil applications (Texas Instruments - ULN2003LV)
Jul 30 2012 - Semiconductors [More Semiconductors Articles]The Texas Instruments (TI) ULN2003LV low-power 3.3V / 5V relay driver is now available from Mouser. It is a low-voltage and low-power upgrade of TI’s ULN2003 family of seven-channel Darlington transistor array devices.
The TI ULN2003LV sink driver features seven low output impedance drivers to support low voltage relay and inductive coil applications. The low impedance drivers minimize on-chip power dissipation, making it up to 5 times lower for typical 3V relays. ULN2003LV is pin-to-pin compatible with the ULN2003 family of devices in similar packages. ULN2003LV supports 3.3V to 5V CMOS logic input interface, making it compatible to a wide range of microcontrollers and other logic interfaces. ULN2003LV also features an improved input interface that minimizes the input DC current drawn from the external drivers.
Typical applications include relay and inductive load driver for various telecom, consumer and industrial, lamps and LEDs, and logic level shifters.
