Mouser – Affordable long-range Wi-Fi connectivity modules from stock (Bluegiga WF111/WF121)
Jul 16 2012 - Design & Manufacture [More Design & Manufacture Articles]Mouser is now stocking new Wi-Fi modules from Bluegiga Technologies. Bluegiga WF111/WF121 Embedded Wi-Fi Modules offer small, reliable, long-range Wi-Fi connectivity in an easy-to-integrate surface mount package.
Both modules use Cambridge Silicon Radio’s UniFi CSR6031 chipset, which has ‘excellent’ RF performance, low power consumption, and compact size. The modules provide benefits such as superior radio performance, reduced design risk, and shortened time-to-market. Development kits are available for both the WF111 and WF121.
The Bluegiga WF121 module is a stand-alone Wi-Fi module, providing a fully-integrated 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n radio and IP stack in a 15.4mm x 26.2mm footprint.
The Bluegiga WF111 module is also a fully integrated 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n module, providing a low cost, small size Wi-Fi solution for devices that run a Linux operating system on ARM or x86 processors with an SDIO interface.
