Crydom – High-current DC-output contactors rated up to 160A / 200VDC (HDC Series)
Jul 18 2012 - Switches, Relays & Onboard [More Switches, Relays & Onboard Articles]Crydom has introduced the HDC Series of high-current DC-output contactors. The HDC Series extends the company’s extensive range of solid state controls up to 160A / 200VDC at 40C ambient.
Featuring a robust encapsulated plastic package with large power terminals, the HDC Series includes a heavy-duty aluminium base plate for superior thermal performance and easy mounting to a heat sink, panel or backplane.
The HDC Series incorporates proprietary advanced high-speed DC switching circuitry and low power dissipation Power FETs for optimum performance to deliver superior DC load control including PWM in many applications such as solar arrays, packaging machinery, automotive accessories, recreational vehicles and accessories, marine applications, process controls, power supplies, etc. A logic compatible 4.5VDC to 32VDC control input or a 90 to 140VAC input, both with LED input status indicator, offer low power consumption control as well as 2.5Kv Optical isolation for superior surge protection.
Available with either a 120A or 160A output rating, the HDC Series is housed in an industry-standard 75mm x 105mm package with 9.52 mm screw terminals and is available with optional installed thermal-interface pad. The HDC Series contactors are CE certified to both the Low Voltage and EMC Directives, and are RoHS and China RoHS compliant, says the company.
