Mouser – High-sensitivity bipolar latching digital Hall-effect sensor ICs (SS360NT)
Jun 25 2012 - Switches, Relays & Onboard [More Switches, Relays & Onboard Articles]Latest from Mouser is stock availability of Honeywell’s new high-sensitivity bipolar latching digital Hall-effect sensor ICs.
The SS360NT / SS360ST / SS460S are small, versatile, highly-sensitive devices designed to respond to alternating north and south poles. High magnetic sensitivity of 30G typical (55G maximum) is provided without the use of chopper stabilization on the Hall element. This results in a clean output signal and the fastest latch response time in its class.
Bipolar latching magnetics offer accurate speed sensing and RPM measurement. A wide operating voltage range of 3VDC to 24VDC allows for design flexibility in a broad array of applications. Small, leaded, flat TO-92 or subminiature SOT-23 packages offer compact PC board layout. Built-in reverse voltage provides protection of the sensor and the circuits.
The devices are suitable for use in many industrial and commercial, transportation, and medical applications. They are ideal for brushless dc motor commutation, speed sensing and RPM measurement. Transportation applications include tachometer, counter pick-up, and motor and fan control, says the company.
