Jun 29 2012 - Switches, Relays & Onboard [More Switches, Relays & Onboard Articles]Now available from Mouser stock, the harsh-environment Amphenol Commercial LUSB Connector Series features a locking mechanism in which the latch must be intentionally raised in order to remove the plug. An accidental pull on the cable up to 10kg force will not separate the connectors.
The connectors are ideal for applications in which vibration and inadvertent separation of the cable causes a loss of data, such as medical equipment, ATM machines, lottery terminals, GPS, hand held data loggers, commercial vehicles, radios, PDAs, and automotive mobile entertainment systems.
