Jun 14 2012 - Subs & Systems [More Subs & Systems Articles]The Piher PSC-360 is a vertical Hall-effect magnetic rotary sensor – now available from Mouser stock. The contactless sensor is programmable and features a ‘unique’ switch function not offered with other 360 degree absolute position sensors. The permanent magnet is the only moving part, providing a mechanical life cycle of up to 50 million cycles. The completely sealed IP67 rated Piher PSC-360 Sensor, ideal for harsh environments and offers high temperature performance at -40C to +150C. The PSC-360U model features a panel mount package for easy bush mounting.
Wide ranging applications span non-contacting long life angle / position sensors, absolute rotary position sensors, pedal position sensors, throttle / EGR valve and gear position sensors, height and suspension sensors, non-contacting potentiometers, float-level sensors, motor-shaft position sensors, precision robotics, industrial equipment, HVAC monitoring and control.
