Mouser – New high-performance 16-bit automotive microcontrollers (Freescale - S12G128)
Jun 11 2012 - Semiconductors [More Semiconductors Articles]Mouser is now stocking a range of new 16-bit automotive microcontrollers from Freescale Semiconductor.
The S12G128 / S12G96 microcontrollers (MCUs) are part of the MC9S12G family of 16-bit devices focused on low cost, high performance, and low pin count for automotive applications. They feature error correction code on flash memory, a fast analog-to-digital converter, and a frequency-modulated phase-locked loop that improves the EMC performance.
The MC9S12G family targets applications requiring CAN or LIN/SAE J2602 communication, including body controllers, occupant detection, door modules, seat controllers, and more.
For evaluation, Freescale TWR-S12G128 and TWR-S12G128-KIT (demonstration board and demo board kit) for the S12G128 are available. TWR-S12G128 operates as a standalone debug tool or can be combined and used as part of the Tower System development platform.
