Jun 1 2012 - Switches, Relays & Onboard [More Switches, Relays & Onboard Articles]Hylec-APL easy-to-use, waterproof connectors and cable splitters are now available from Aerco. All connectors in the range are rated to IP68 and are available with a wide choice of cable diameters from 5 – 17mm depending on the product type. The cables are sealed via a rear cable gland that is easily tightened by a nut and an interfacial seal ensures IP68 rating once connectors are mated. Three and five pole versions are available, the current rating is 16A to 25A and temperature rating is from 0C to 125C.
Screw terminals mean that they are easy to assemble in the field and this, together with their ease of use and IP rating, make them ideal for a wide range of applications including exterior lighting and security, outdoor power distribution, pumps, controls, marine equipment, wind turbines and similar equipment. IP68 rated T splitters are also available that provide users greater flexibility in installation, says the company.
