Feb 13 2012 - Power [More Power Articles]RS Components now offers the Texas Instruments TPS3600 family of supervisory circuits which monitor and control processor activity. In case of power-fail or brownout conditions, the backup-battery switchover function of TPS3600 allows a low-power processor and its peripherals to run from the installed backup battery without asserting a reset beforehand, says the company.
