Feb 17 2012 - Semiconductors [More Semiconductors Articles]Now available from Mouser, Texas Instruments’ DRV8814 DC motor driver ICs are integrated motor driver solutions for printers, scanners, and other automated equipment applications.
The TI DRV8814 has two H-bridge drivers and is intended to drive DC motors. The output driver block for each consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured as H-bridges to drive the motor windings. TI DRV8814 DC Motor Drive ICs can supply up to 2.5A peak or 1.75A RMS output current per H-bridge. TI DRV8814 devices include internal shutdown functions for over-current protection, short circuit protection, under-voltage lockout, and over-temperature.
