Mouser – High-performance primary side control offline LED controller (MPS Control Offline LED Controller)

Monolithic Power System’s MP4021 primary side control off-line LED controller is now available from Mouser. It achieves high power factor and accurate LED current for single-power stage, isolated lighting applications.

A proprietary real current control method accurately controls the LED current from the primary side, and therefore significantly simplifies the LED lighting system design by eliminating the secondary side feedback components and the optocoupler. The device integrates power factor correction and works in boundary conduction mode to reduce the MOSFET switching losses. Applications include solid state, industrial, commercial and residential lighting, says the company.
