Feb 7 2012 - Power [More Power Articles]Enpirion’s EP5348UI 400mA synchronous buck converter, now available from Mouser stock, delivers the optimal trade-off between footprint and efficiency. The device is an ideal replacement for less efficient LDOs in space-constrained applications that require improved efficiency.
The 400mA PowerSoC integrates MOSFET switches, control, compensation, and magnetics in a micro-QFN package. The highly-integrated DC-DC solution offers up to 46-points better efficiency than comparable LDOs, achieves improved thermals and offers a significant reduction in power loss. It also enables extended battery life and helps meet Energy Star requirements, says the company.
