A comprehensive family of connectors, designed specifically for the entertainment industry, is now available from Lane Electronics. Manufactured by Neutrik, the specialist connectors are designed to meet wide variety of audio, video and lighting applications across the professional entertainment industry.

The powerCON family is a locking three-conductor AC connector with contacts for line, neutral and pre-mating ground contact. It is seen as an ideal replacement for appliance couplers when a rugged solution combined with a locking device is needed to ‘guarantee’ a safe and reliable power connection.

Neutrik’s etherCON is a ruggedized and lockable RJ45 connector system optimised for professional audio, video and lighting network applications. The chassis connectors are designed to fit into standard entertainment panels while the cable connector carriers upgrade a conventional RJ45 connector to a robust lockable solution.

The speakON cable connector is recognized as the industry standard connectors for amplifier to speaker connection. The 2, 4 and 8-pole connectors feature a robust plastic housing, ‘unique’ locking mechanism and touch proof contacts. The 2 and 8-pole versions have a 30A rating while the 4-pole version provides up to 50A for amplifiers and speakers carrying more than 1000W.

In addition to these connector ranges, Lane Electronics also holds large stocks of Neutrik’s chassis connectors, patch bays and cables, plugs, jacks and phono connectors, says the company.
