Feb 16 2012 - Semiconductors [More Semiconductors Articles]Silicon Laboratories’ C8051F96x family is the lowest power, most advanced MCU solution for power sensitive embedded systems used in battery-powered and green energy applications, says specialist supplier, Digi-Key. The C8051F96x family has been designed from the ground up to seamlessly interoperate with Silicon Labs’ EZRadioPRO sub-GHz transceivers.
The Si102x/Si103x wireless MCU family pairs the ultra-low-power C8051F96x MCU core with the Si443x EZRadioPRO transceiver into a single-chip solution. It addresses the requirements of low-power embedded systems requiring an RF link. By reducing overall system power, the devices enable developers to either reduce the size/cost of batteries or increase battery life while delivering end products with industry leading RF performance, says the company.
